GP Fund Deduction Rates 2022 Notification has been issued on 17th October 2022. The Governor of Punjab is pleased to make the following amendment to the Punjab General Provident Fund Rules, 1978, with Immediate effect.
The deduction on the basis of the rates mentioned below shall be made with effect from the pay for October 2022 payable on November 2022.
The subscriber shall pay a monthly subscription according to the Basic Pay scale mentioned in column 1 of the table at the rate mentioned in column 2.
All government servants in permanent, temporary or officiating service (including probationary service) irrespective of the class to which they belong, whose conditions of service the provident is competent to determine, is eligible to join the General Provident Fund. Subscribers to the fund are required to initiate to the accounts office the nomination conferring on one or more persons the right to receive the amount at his credit in the fund in case of his death before serving the amount. The government pays interest at a rate announced on annual basis to the credit of the amount of a subscriber every year. A temporary/permanent advance can be granted to the subscriber from the amount outstanding to his/her credit in the Fund subject to certain conditions as stipulated in the General Provident Fund Rules, 1978.
